To Jail the two Deaf paedophile sisters!

This petition is asking for support in the Worcester court case of two Deaf paedophile sisters, who abused a boy over 14y years, reported in national newspapers on 19th August 2016.  The Judge in this case: Robert Juckes, decided not to jail them because they are Deaf and would be isolated in prison!

We, in the Deaf Community cannot accept this judgement, it is wrong on all levels and makes Deaf people look like they have no idea between right and wrong!  But we do!  These sisters knew perfectly well what they were doing with this poor boy and he must have justice!  Too often victims are completely forgotten and their distress, upset and violation is brushed under the carpet, that is seriously wrong!  The Deaf Community are not prepared to go along with this leniency and we propose that the Judge's decision to not jail them at all, is reversed and the sisters are jailed under the current sexual abuse guidelines, that apply equally to us all.

The sisters cannot be allowed to simply walk away after 14 years of abuse, that is fundamentally wrong!  If the judge thinks they will be isolated, that is true, but that is tough!  If you can't do the time, you should not do the crime! Regardless of Julie Fellowes being pregnant, other women are jailed when pregnant, why should matters be any different for her?

We, in the Deaf Community feel that we are not playing fair, when we often balk at inequalities in life and now the boot is on the other foot, we cannot be seen to be getting away with atrocious crimes, that other criminals and paedophiles would get many years for.  

In respect for the Deaf Community and in the name of true equality: Julie and Jennifer Fellowes must be jailed for their 14 years of abuse to a young boy.
