Para lumaking matalino at mabuting Pilipino and inyong mga anak, pilitin silang makinig sa MASA Radio Stations.

NU107's disappearance will be an intolerable sorrow... Where do I tune in now, Papa Jack or the other crappy stations that play techno, bossa nova, and "novelty" songs? I'd rather smash the fucking radio.

#233 The new owners of NU107 own at least 4 other stations on the FM band

2010-11-02 08:53

That's right. We've got reports that the new owners of NU 107 own at least 4 other FM stations, which is not RJUR or RJ 100.3, meaning, they play variety leaning towards pop.

Do not take this as an insult, but as an opportunity to tell the management how a rock radio format can still be feasible.

It's never too late to air our sentiments.

#234 NU-Rock must never die!!!

2010-11-02 11:10

All the NU supporters & listeners it's been 23 years since the station plays our fave rock music hope that this time we must save the music that inspired the youth of decades. The station that give big break to all bands & artist that influence the youth, gives us freedom during times of dictatorship, inspired us to be proud of our race & country, giving glory to the country for discovering rock artists that represent our kind of music to the world.
If all of this are not worthy of saving the station now is the time to have a NU-ROCK REVOLUTION!!!

Bring your candles, your friends, your love for the station and your love for music.

If you can't go, that's okay. You may also light your candle at home and video tape it to express your thoughts and greatest memory of NU107.

I say no to closing NU down and get it reformatted to another useless station like Energy FM.

Who the hell will sponsor rock and metal shows anymore should NU kick the bucket? How many stations are willing to bring out the music and word for those bands if NU changes format? The metal scene has only began to have really good bands touring the country - a trend that began in 2008 when Shadows Fall hit Philippine shores! I don't want that to be fucked up! :(

I admit that I soured on NU 107 when the emo wave came middle of last decade but I'm still depressed at the thought Manila will no longer have a rock station!

C'mon everyone, spread the word! Keep the rock alive! If not, I hope Atom Henares, Pulp Magazine, Red Horse Beer and some other like minded folks can open up a hard rock/metal station that caters to the Rakistas of the land! Common we are counting on you to keep the rock alive!

I've been listening to nu107 since 2002 up to now. And I'm glad to say that rock music has become a part of my life. The thought of the only rock FM station going mainstream for the "masa" sickens me! SAVE NU107! :O
