#105 The Music Scene needs NU107!!

2010-10-27 11:52

We can't allow this to happen....

I mean, there are already a lot of MASA STATIONS everywhere.... It's like a freaking "ATTACK OF THE MASA STATIONS" apocalyptic scenario.

NU107 uplifts the listening standards of the public. If NU107 signs-off, then what would happen to the musical tastes of the people? Hanggang dun na lang?

Sabi nga ng Itchyworms: "Hanggang dito na lang ba ang masa?"

#1: Akelle Sumaculub - AKL

this is gonna be the end of NU bandwagon and scene monopoly! i better sign indeed! no need for a call from its bitter end. i've been a listener of nu107 for awhile, seen the changes, past djs and all but this sad plunge is one of my waits. this should be the start of the new age of philippine music industry! End all craps! end all monopoly and give birth to struggling unsigned (better then mainstream) artists. end all rockstars and wannabees!

It's the only radio station of its kind. I don't see the logic behind changing the format. I really hope this petition does not fall on deaf ears.

#114 NU, please stay!

2010-10-27 16:33

You gave budding rock musicians a chance of being heard on-air. You've been a part of me for more than a decade now. You're the only radio station in this country that has such pure rock genre. You're unique. People like me always await the annual Rock Awards results. You're a big influence to the Pinoy music industry. Please, NU, staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

most of the independent bands galing sa NU107..
. KAYA DI SILA PWEDE MAWALA.

well i hope na sana if ever man na papalitan man nila eh sana i-retain na lang nila yung format!

like nung nangyari dati sa campus radio 97.1 LS FM (now barangay LS)... nasaan ang barangay LS?? WALA!! as in walang wala.. they are on the bottom of the list on ratings of the philippine radio industry!

#120 Sad but true...

2010-10-28 04:08

I've been listening to this station since the early 90s and I grew up liking rock music with them! I was able to discover a lot of bands both foreign and local from their programming so it is indeed sad that NU's going to a close... Wala na tayong magagawa. But for those young bands and listeners who are worried about not having a rock station around to support the scene, you guys should broaden your ears! We have stations around who do support rock and the local band scene and I think we should support them! It's a new era for the Pinoy rock scene and we should all be there to keep it alive! NU was a big part of cultivating local music indeed but it's US, the listeners and supporters and artists, who make up PINOY ROCK as it is.

i love listening to NU107!
the music format made me stick to listen to this station for years now.if all stations were the same, then whats the point in having numerous radio stations? we love NU for they serve the best music and even give hope for the aspiring rock bands in the country.it would be a shame to loose something this great.

hear us out...

I'm not really the pop kind, so I tune in to Jam 88.9 (easy-listening moving towards indie) and NU107 (rock moving towards indie). Yung dalawang yun lang kumpleto na yung buong music spectrum para sakin. These are the stations that have their own 'personality', and it's the one thing that made me a fan of these stations in the first place. Pag tinanggal o binago pa yung NU, who's gonna play the part of the rockstar among the stations? PLEASE, NOOO!!
