Lion can't escape if fence is maintained properly

I feel that its not Sylvester fault for being loose. The park must make sure that they can keep all animals in. Sylvester cant be killed for this.

Please save Sylvester. If the fences were properly in place the lion would not have the desire to escape again...afterall...lion in captivity is hard enough. Please dont punish Sylvester for human incompetance....we speak for those who cannot speak for themselves!

No animal should be killed because it is deemed a problem because of human intervention. And Sylvester has become an Icon in this part of the world. Killing him is not the only option !!

SANParks should maintain their fences and not blame the lion for escaping.

I am concerned that an innocent animal is going to get killed because stupid humans caught him/ raised him as their private farm/game animal.
The owner of the park should face up to his irresponsibility and be fined for allowing this and knowingly allowed this to happen again.
The problem is all these 'wanna be' game lodge owners/ rangers. Leave the animals in the wild where they belong.

Rather FIRE the staff for not doing maintenance. It's like puting your dog down for leaving your gate open. Idiots!!

Do not that the neglect of the custodians lead to the death of this animal !

Why did they not take prevention to keep him inside. Put him in another bigger place, why kill him?

I think that it is not the lion's fault and should be relocated to a safer place.

This lion is essentially harmless. They must fix the fence not kill the lion. What nonsense!

Why kill a lion because of human failure to ensure it's safekeeping.

SANParks must find a compassionate alternative, they are here to protect and conserve our precious animals, not murder them! Don't kill Sylvester!
