Just about every 'public' service in these areas are being closed down. Last couple of weeks it was two different banks and now it's two sorting offices.

The post Office Depot is an essential local resource. Especially with the increase of online purchases and home deliveries

We use Royal Mail a lot. Closing the local sorting office would cause my family great inconvenience when collecting parcels.

I use the sorting office in bredbury on a weekly basis. It's a valuable office to the whole community and its loss will be felt across the village.

Because the sorting office in Bredbury is very handy to pick things up from. Otherwise it means a 7 mile journey to Stockport and back.

The Sorting Office in Bredbury would be a massive loss to many in the Woodley, Bredbury and Romiley areas. How on earth would the elderly/infirm be able to get to Stockport to collect a large parcel and then get it home. We don't all have transport or the money for taxis

The services at local post depots are vital -for everyone. It is a shameful example of this government if they continue to take away a vital local service. Post men & women work hard on daily basis, even walking for long hours in all weathers to bring our mail. To be able to go to your local depot to collect a missed parcel is great but to have to travel a number of miles is just not acceptable. What if you don't have transport?? Keep our depots & our posties local to all our communities, after all I thought it was at Her Majesty's Service. Doubt she would want this British institution having no back bone to serve our public!

Its an important local facility that would cause great inconvenience if centralised to Stockport as well as being environmentally irresponsible.

A valued service for local residence.

Our Royal Mail Delivery Office is very useful, therefore precious to us. If we had to go to the Delivery Office in Hyde, there would be a real problem with parking and we would lose a very important local service. It's interesting to see the Conservatives trying to stop an institution that they privatised from acting as independently, selfishly and inconsiderately as a privatised business always does. What on earth did they expect??

Getting to Stockport can be a nightmare especially rush hour and Christmas. I'd be very unhappy should this service be withdrawn.

If The Sorting Offices close. The least the post office could do is have somewhere locally to collect parcels. It is always busy o0n the road when I pass the Bredbury Sorting office.

To help maintain and improve the excellent service that the Royal Mail provides to the local communities.

It would be difficult for the many elderly residents of Breebury and Woodley to collect parcels etc. at another location.

These services are vital to our local communities

I am an ex Romiley resident and you are not giving any one a considered service , either close one or the other .Not both.
Many people have no direct way of getting into stockport which is where I assume is where the collection point will be.

Local services are very important especially for the young and old with banks closing the PO is even more essential.

As a director of a thriving local business, closing the delivery office would have a severely detrimental impact on my business. Shocking proposal.

Because it provides an important local service for business and non-business customers.

Because I am 78 years old and it is bad enough having to get up to Marple to collect packages etc., but having to go to Stockport would be really really difficult.

Because it is important to keep busy (and I mean busy) local depots open, no doubt they want to sell the land for profit.
