Neighborhood Compatibility for 307 South Orange Construction

A seven story assisted living facility (160 total units) is being proposed at 307 South Orange. The following design elements should be incorporated into the project to ensure compatibility with the surrounding low density residential neighborhood, Laurel Park.

1) Restricting thru traffic into Laurel Park

Vehicles should enter the property on Laurel and exit the property on Morrill, thus avoiding traversing the tight neighborhood streets.

2) Limiting mechanical noise impact upon the neighborhood

The project should factor in sound mitigation for its supporting mechanics (HVAC, generator).

Additional noise abatement considerations should also include: off-street areas for garbage and recycling, and internal delivery vehicle loading docks.

3) Construction staging

All staging / construction parking should occur on site rather than impeding upon the narrow streets (Morrill, Rawls, Laurel) that border the site.
