Because it is a disgrace that the city council can just go ahead and decide the fate of all the horses lives and the children, and adults alike. What the hell is happening in South Africa today ,those people just do as they please, There just has to be justice served.

It is the only safe place for kids to ride and very conveniently situated the staff have been there for many years and have taken such good care of the animals how can animals that have brought such joy to handicapped children and given them a new lease on life just be put down the police horses are such a great asset to our crime watch and what happens now with them I believe they are making a very sad bad de is ion and a lot of children and families are going to be broken hearted very very sad. Also such loyal grooms and workers how can the just be told to leave that's their life

This is very important to the well-being of my family.  i am a single mother of 3 children, and myself and son are instructors a the Mount Edgecombe Stables.  Due to commercial and low cost residential development, these stables have been forced t re-locate t Summerveld at year end.  We are due to bring a further 8-10 horses to Newmarket, with a further 40 students, and teach at the training centre there.  What will we do? Where will we all go?

It would be a national tragedy to lose this facility,

Hands off our sables, use the land at Natal Command it is empty and doing nothing. There are enough soccer facilities all over Durban but not for horse riding. Black children ride horses too. It is time you the council started listening to the people, this is not a dictatorship. For once do what WE the PEOPLE want.

Please don't destroy the last equestrian centre in Durban - there are so many soccer facilities in Durban already. Don't kill this sport.

The stables is a lovely place where families go to bond, couples go to take a nice stroll. My family and I have been going there since I was 7 and it would be monstrous if it were to be torn down! The stables is part of the Durban culture, let's savoy one of the few cultural aspects we have left! Only a monster would want to tear it down!

I think the Soccer Academy should be built in the townships where it is needed most for the up and coming future players . Has the Ethekwini municipality cleared this demolition with AMAFA as this premises is over 100 years old .and has a history . Show us the permit .

Because its one of the few places a person can go with your family and still feel safe

I love the stables. Why don't they do a soccer academy at the massive stadium that is mostly unused

Cause I agree on the preserving of hertiage and passion of others than to follow the greed of capitalism.
And it's funny as I am a soccer player and a Fan. But I believe they can find somewhere lese

There is a need to cater for people who utilise facilities like this with great benefits. They will be deprived of this opportunity to develop themselves

It is an historical site and the home of many horses. Soccer stadiums can be built anywhere.!!!! Just like South Africa to think more of sport than the wellbeing of these animals

This is such an historic part of Durban. It is also the athletic stadium for the city.
