I strongly believe that what is being used for animals for the past century should remain in place and the municipality should find alternative land for soccer academy. Horses are just as important in life progression similar to humans.

The love I feel for the people, the animals and nature are priceless. I don't like this monoton world, theese monoton, cold feelings.
If I can, I'll help all of my power to the horses, and others who need my help.

If someone reads this - except the administrators of this site - please help theese creatures. Restore the Faith of Humanity.

Firstly, it is an historically important recreational area for Durban City residents. Secondly, it is a much needed green belt. Thirdly, there are unused football facilities within walking distance of the Newmarket Stables. Fourthly, Durban is a live contender for the 2022 Commonwealth Games which includes equestrian competition.

Equestrian centers and stables are not just homes for horses: they are also the home to the hearts of many youth. To force these places to close is to also cause kids to have less constructive activities at their disposal. Teens and adolescents with nothing to do tend to find themselves in trouble!

We do not need more soccer stadiums in Durban. The stables have been there for a long time and should be allowed to stay.

I love horses and have experienced this before and unfortunately the horses had to be put to sleep and I cried a lot so I really don't want the horses in that stable to suffer the same fate : (

HOPE THIS WORKS!
Till then,
GOODLUCK
Love, D <3

To save the livelihood of the people working at the stables and the subsequent jobs that they create. The Stables is part of Durban history. JUST FOR ONCE CAN WE RENOVATE AND BUILD SOMETHING UP.... INSTEAD OF SMASHING IT DOWN AND LAYING MORE CONCRETE!!

I'm sick and tired of developers and politicians thinking they can do what they want regardless of the consequences. It's time the entire equestrian industry stood up to it - we face major development in Kyalami because of greedy developers. Enough is enough!

I signed because its time to stand together in what we believe and save what is precious for our children and our precious equine friends and their keepers.
