The owner wants another dog instead and has done this before (as I understand it). She doesn't deserve any pets if this is the way she treats them, someone sounds fishy in her reasoning to put him down

Dogs are only as bad as they're taught to be, just like children.

#104 Why doesn't the rescue group get an attorney involved?

Aren't they in violation of their contract???

Tater deserves a second chance! What happened? What's going on? Is anyone gonna make sure there is nothing medically wrong with Tater causing this behavior?

This is so stupid. A dog "can" be retrained.

I signed because Tater deserves to live. There are rescues that will gladly take him. There is no need whatsoever to kill him.

Because the owner is lying. Tater is a service dog which means he passed temperament testing!!

I feel that his 16yr old "owner" is just trying to get attention. Tater doesn't deserve to die needlessly he deserves a life free of all this controversy and to just be a Dog my prayers are said for the speedy decision for Tater to have a good life with people who love him he also should be able to continue his much needed work as a Service Dog

Why has a 16 year old got the right to any decisions about anything so serious as murdering animals . What are her nutball parents doing about it . At 16 years old the parents are still legally responsible for the idiot who wants end this furbabies life they need to get a grip of the situation and fast

Are you confusing this dog with the other dog that saved the woman's (Christie) son (brother)?  There is this Tater Tot (blue nose pit) and then there is "TaterTot the Amazing Pit Bull" (red nose pit - maybe mix, not sure, but he is definitely red, not blue).  TaterTot the Amazing Pit Bull saved the boy's life when he had a medical emergency by waking the boy's mother (Christie).  She was fostering him at the time and subsequently adopted him after he saved "brother's" life.

A 16-year old child has no authority to have a dog killed. It sounds like she is using Tater to bring some drama and attention into her life.
If the rescue is willing to take this dog back, the family has an obligation to Tater to surrender him.

Why is a 16 year old making the decision about this dog? Where are the adults in this situation and why can't the dog be trained and rehomed. Terrible the powers that be should be ashamed of themselves if this dog is euthanized. Shame on them

No dog should be euthanize for aggressive behavior. If that's the cast then euthanize our felons. Seriously, if the rescue wants Tater back then give him back and let them work with Tater.

There is NO proof of this dog being vicious. This girl is tired of her dog and wants a new dog from a breeder. She was told "no" until her other dog is gone. Poor parenting of a spoiled, attention seeking brat. This dog trusted her with his life, and this is how she repays him. Sickening.
