I think if they build they must leave a "sun gap".

I just cannot believe that anyone would even contemplate building on such an important an intrinsically precious site.
There should be no possible way that this development can be allowed to proceed and I'm sure there will be many who will oppose this idocy.

Can't believe one anyone would consider doing this. Spoiling a world heritage site. There must be somewhere else you can build the houses without impacting on a unique view

Ancient heritage site = cannot imagine anyone or any organisation would want to alter anything that would have a detrimental impact on this site.

Sad and ashamed of myself for not doing more to stop this. They were once enormous and empowering and majestic now the stones look so small and shy. Oh dear. what have we all done by our reluctance to get angry and tell cold hearted people NO!

Is it really so hard to build flats without desecrating a specific view?

Leave this monument alone! Avebury is equally ancient and open to walk round 24/7 this one should be too......

Stonehenge should be open to the public in the same way as Avebury and West Kenet Longbarrow. No fences, no Disneyland, nothing to detract form the ancient mystery and wonder.

I believe that these ancient sites should be preserved so we can continue to use them and research them as our equipment gets better.

I think it's wrong to "ship" people to something so ancient via tourbus...and to charge, which I'm sure they do, is wrong.

What a horrible state of affairs. This is such a travesty. Historical sites should not be disturbed, disrupted or changed in ANY way, shape or form. They belong to the people indeed.

My soul threw up reading of the proposed blocking of the Solstice Sun...Every Spiritual Being in The Universe must unite to stop this! Protect Stonehenge in a protective Light Orb of Love.
