Its absolutely scandalous the heavy handed way that Wokingham Council have sort to effectively close down Hare Hatch Sheeplands or at least very large part of it and smacks of the 'big brother' syndrome. Local Authority action at its very worse and totally ignoring the opinions of s huge number of people who use and love Sheeplands. I know that the local big garden centre chain outlet near Sheeplands has played a sinister part in the original action against Sheeplands and I and my family no longer use the chain. We love coming to Sheeplands as do our now grown up children over many, many years. Keep fighting

I support entirely what my husband Raymond Frith has commented and agree its totally wrong of Wokingham Borough to take the heavy handed action it has against Sheeplands

Treatment by WBC is disgusting and one alomost suspects something corrupt in targeting a business which is surrounded by other businesses eg Country Store & Wyvale

I have been visiting Sheeplands for many years and recently with my grandchildren. We all love it and so nice to have a unigue experience rather than the same old offered at Wyvale centres.

Sheeplands is a unique place to visit, shop & eat. The staff are kindness itself - something I have experienced there many, many times. Their knowledge is invaluable. They go that extra mile.
This is something lacking in many places today.

Apart from the obvious benefits to the community & the lovely staff who would keep their jobs, we are in danger of having, 'Faceless', places arriving everywhere we look.

Save this unique place. It is far, far better than the alternative.

It is a great asset to the area, and would be greatly missed.

I regularly use Hare Hatch Sheeplands for the garden centre, excellent farm shop which also stocks essential gluten free product difficult to find elsewhere. I like to encourage businesses which uses local produce and not only provides an excellent outlet for me but supports local businesses providing employment and ecologically sound product which is what the government is also trying to encourage.I am genuinely saddened by the attitude and stance of WBC who seem to be on their own agenda contrary to the wishes and interests of the local community and the country as a whole.

Sheeplands Hare Hatch Is a great local focal point and very popular local supplier of locally produced and Artusan foods, not to mention the income and employment for the local area.
I myself am a local Beekeeper supplying the local community with honey through this
Extremely popular outlet.

Hare Hatch Sheeplands provides essential family friendly facilities, a great variety of well grown plants, useful advice and friendly service and deserves full support from all corners.

We are a supplier to Hare Hatch Sheeplands. They are one of or top customers and their closure would cause a considerable loss to our business let alone loss of livelihood to their staff.

This is a wonderful resource not only to the immediate area, but surrounding ones too. It's great for people of all ages; but the farm & much missed play area have been fabulous for children & their families - including children with special needs: so a very inclusive space!

I am signing this petition because I and my family and friends are regular visitors to Hare Hatch Sheeplands which is in our view a shining example of what a local business should be. It employs many local people, serves excellent food, plants and garden equipment. It buys supplies locally, supporting local producers. There has been a garden centre on this site for decades. It had been run down but has been lovingly brought to life and improves all the time. The council's attitude and desire to put Hare Hatch out of business is inexplicable unless driven by a hidden agenda and it certainly runs against the wishes of thousands of local people who want to see it continue.

because it should not be subject to beaurocratic red tape when it provides such a wonderful service to the community

I have signed this petition because I feel very strongly that HHS is an enormous asset to the community. It is a wonderfully friendly place to shop and has excellent goods. It also serves the area not just as a small, successful business but as a meeting place for young and old with events for all, including those who are less able, throughout the year. An amicable solution to keep HHS open and thriving must be found for the benefit of everyone involved.

We are a local business manufacturing Charcuterie and selling to local businesses like Hare Hatch. Our business relies on customers like Hare hatch who actively support us and other small local businesses by buying our products. We employ local people and support local Farmers by buying their meat. We need small independent shops like Hare Hatch to continue to support our local community. Bigger local rivals do not always buy locally made produce.

We do business with Hare Hatch, supplying them with our artisan food products. Independent businesses like this allow for small businesses like us to get our products on the shelf, when it is impossible to get them into the major supermarkets as we are small producers. Businesses like Hare Hatch are few and far between in the age of supermarkets, which are shutting small independent businesses down across the nation. It is a great shame and genuinely saddening that the local council are doing this to a thriving local independent business. They should be supporting them.

Sheeplands over 60's club is a great facility and myself, friends and family often meet, socialise and buy farm shop and garden goods to compliment and enhance our visit. Exceptional staff and café friendliness.
