I think a few people are going slightly crazy on this forum unfortunately. What's the need to scream (in loud capital letters) and make stupid arguments when there are really good intelligent arguments that can be presented in opposition to ITV...?

If you cannot think of anything sensible to say, rather remain silent. By behaving like this you give those who are for ITV a chance to say that poor and useless statements/charges are being made against the channel.

Whoever signed this petition is intelligent. Just by opposing ITV you show that you have a certain dregree of intelligence with you alhamdulillah.

And its worse for an intelligent person to make stupid arguments than for a stupid person to make stupid arguments. That's all.

From the way a few people are commenting, it appears that they're more angry becoz of the money ITV/Radio islaam is making than anything else. Thats a silly argument because its not haraam to make money. If a person runs a madressa and charges his students R20.000 a month, it will not make his madressa, salary or deed haraam. If a person writes a kitaab and sells it for a million rand, it will not make his kitaab, deed or money haraam. If radio islaam was doing EVERYTHING halaal and ran the station in 100% compliance with the shariah in obediance to the commands of ALLAH and HIS Rasool salallahu'alaihiwasallam, even if they made a billion halaal rands per month, we would not have any issues.

Its not the money they're making which renders their deeds haraam and infuriates people, its their doings.

Thats the reason we should rather concentrate on what they're doing instead of how much they're making.

But i know i will never give radio shaytan or itv a cent in my life because they'll take that cent and utilize it to spread evil and wrong..... my money is paak and will be used in a paak course. ameen.....

Nobody wants you to give a cent. I will never give radio shaytaan or iblees TV a cent either.

Just a question: In these 2-3 months that its going to take for ITV to stop the music on its channel, wouldnt muslims get so desensitized to listening to music that they won't even mind the music anymore???

I would like itv to understand somthing ,the fact that itv is photograph or pictures it is haraam .This main principle renders it totally haraam .Undertsand this point clearly you cannot become halaal(itv).Its not only music or woman or money . this law of photos being haraam is our BELOVED RAAB ALLAH TAALA . We love the laws of ALLAH TAALA even if we dont undertsand we hear and we belived full stop . PLEASE PLEASE WE BEG you to stop this evil. Assalamu Alaykum I humbly appeal to the KZN Jamiat to alert the public about the fitnah of Radio Islam. They are now trying to set up shop in KZN. I used to be a staunch supporter and really believed that they were doing a lot of good work. However, after i heard how the Ulama who are running the Radio station, support ITV and how they slyly promote it, my eyes have opened. A friend on mine is doing a research on the Radio station and how they operate. First, they inculcate fear in the public: If we don't the bida'tis will, or the shias will or the modernist will "take over". Thereafter they spread their net and try and take control the Masjids. In Lenz they hijacked the whole Noorul-Islam Masjied and complex. Even Ml. Abudl Hameed will now be unable to give a bayaan there against ITV. I challenge them to issue such an invite to Hadhrat Moulana. After getting control of the Masjids, the next thing is to ban any publications which oppose them. Look at the power that they have now: (1) The Radio station with its one-sided views and "romeo-juliet" and females Haraam programs. (2)The Masjids and the Imaams who are brainwashed into believing the story of SON (Senior Ulama, Overseas Ulama, Necessity.) (3) The craving for absolute power which is clear from the fact that they seek to control the masses and influence the Government by creating the perception that they speak on behalf of ALL the Ulama of the country. That is why they changed their name from Jamiatul Ulama to Jamiatul Ulama South Africa so that it appears that they are representing All the Ulama of All the provinces in South Africa.(4)With the Masjids, Radio station, ITV etc. no one can oppose them. (5) Then they will push the Saudi/American agenda: Free intermingling between males and females; no "outdated" purdah, changing of Islamic laws because it is against human rights and gender equality,. Any one who opposes them, will be an extremist. They coming to KZN. Please, i cry out to Mufti Ebrahim Desai and Mufti Salejee and Moulana Haroon Abbas and Moulana Imaraan and Moulana Madani: If you dont alert the public about the danger of ITC which the Radio Islam is promoting, you will be caught be the scruff of your neck and hauled into the court of Allah for abandoning his creation and jeopardizing the Akhlaaq and Imaan of our children. We don't want them to take over the role of the KZN Jamiat here. Wake up before it is too late! Don;t even give them a platform for a bayaan. Moulana Sulamain Ravat, Moulana Bham and Moulana Haider must understand that they are unwelcome to set up shop here. The community should oppose these Moulana's who are not even prepared to listen to their Ustaads.

If you need to crticise ITV put the blame on my shoulders. I am willing to meet with Jamiat to discuss whatever can be done to rectify and or correct and or improve the situation.

You are to be blame for ITV but so are the ulama who are for it. After all, you are not an aalim who has taken on the responsibility of protecting and defending the shariah like the ulama have. The blame rests just as heavily on their shoulders because instead of them guiding you and opposing your haraam ITV they're halalizing it, promoting it, appearing on it and JUSTIFYING it all. They deserve to be criticized

Sighhhhhh! some people view blatant transgression of the shariah as trivial. They see shunning the scared laws of hijaab,  listening to music, picture making, going against the teachings of islaam and disobeying their ustaadhs/elders - forget their elders, disobeying ALLAH and HIS rasool salallahuAlaihiWasallam as less than 0.1% wrong.

Anas (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give peace) said: “On the day of Resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of whoever sits listening to a songstress (music)” (Recorded by Ibn Asakir & Ibn al-Misri)

Rasoolullah SalallahuAlaihiwasallam said: "Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it".

Ayisha R.A said: Once the Prophet came back from one of his travels, (came into the house) and I had covered a wall with a Qiram (a thin woolen garment) with pictures on it. The Prophet got angry and cut the Qiram and said: "The worst punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be for those who imitate the creation of Allah (by making pictures)." [Bukhari and Muslim].

Hadeeth: "On the Day of Resurrection there will emerge a neck from Hell having two eyes which see, two ears which hear and a tongue which speaks, and it will say. 'I am in-charge of three types of people: anyone who is arrogant and obstreperous, anyone who invokes another god along with Allah, and those who make representations of things (pictures)" . (From Imam Ahmad , al-Tirmizi with a sound chain)

Television is picture making, its creating the likes of an animated being and serves the same purpose of as a sketch, drawing or painting. Even if there is ''difference of opinion'', Aren't we supposed to fear ALLAH enough to at least exercise caution and refrain from picture making - electronically and digitally? If 150 moulana's say that TV is halaal - IT PROVES NOTHING, EXCEPT THE FACT THAT 150 MOULNA'S ARE OFF THE TRACK or at least have erred majorly in this instance.

I am based in Johannesburg. A lot of us have seen through the Jamiat Fordsburg Branch. Those that do not follow like sheep rather look towards the KZN Jamiat and Jamiat Gauteng. Jamiat Fordsburg are run by a few THUGS and a few other ulema that are too scared to open their mouths or follow thes thugs into the lizards hole.

I am warning you people down there in KZN . DON,T LET THESE GUYS EVEN DELIVER A TALK  THERE. THEY ARE SWEET TALKERS, THEY WILL PULL YOU GUYS IN AND YOU WILL ONLY REALISE WHEN IT'S TOO LATE.
