Change window tint laws to be the same nation-wide

Recently, NSW has joined Queensland, the ACT, South Australia and Western Australia in allowing 20% visible light transmission (VLT) on windows rear of the driver. NT leads at 15% VLT. Victoria is still behind by only allowing ALL windows (except windscreen) to be 35%!   Most new cars offer privacy glass with a 15-30% VLT in the back passenger and rear doors. This is passed with a roadworthy but offers a small amount of UV protection, compared to window tint which offers 99% UV protection. Curre

DE-REGISTER THE AUSTRALIAN GREENS PARTY

DE-REGISTER THE AUSTRALIAN GREENS PARTYWe demand the Australian Greens Party be De-Registered. As a direct result of Far Leftwing Greens policies that have been supported by the Australian Labor party we have had the worst fires in Australia's history. Help ban rodeo cruelty in Wollongong!

Help ban Rodeo cruelty in Wollongong!    Animal cruelty is not entertaining! No animals should suffer at the hands of human entertainment! Rodeos are Cruel, unnecessary and outdated. This isn’t sport, it’s exploitation and has no place in our modern society.   Countless animals have paid with their lives to satisfy humans’ desire. Animals in rodeos commonly suffer broken bones, torn ligaments, and spinal injuries, many of which can be fatal. They exhibit signs of severe distress and buck as an

Boycott Coles' "Mini-Collectables"

As well as contributing to the plastics scourge and ending up killing, poisoning and maiming innocent sea and land animals, these "mini products" are also aimed at training children to be consumers of the "real thing". It's marketing propaganda and the companies they represent are most likely financing this "project". Call Coles on their hypocrisy in stocking these useless pollutants whilst at the same time banning plastic bags. Provide kids with toys that truly educate and stimulate imagination

Leave the OLQP Greystanes Uniform unchanged

As a school community we feel that the changes to the school uniform are unnecessary and are of no benefit to students or their families. It is of only financial benefit to the uniform shop. We feel that we should have had a voice as the school community in relation to the changes. And we feel the change to a white collar is impractical and unsightly. We wish to petition the school to abort these changes and properly engage the school community's  opinion on how to move forward. As we cannot see

Statement of the Network of University Teachers against banning the Gender Studies Program

In the middle of the summer university break, the Hungarian Rectors' Conference was presented a draft decree from the Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Justice.  This proposal called for the abolition of the masters program on Gender Studies. Such curricula are currently offered by the ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences and the Central European University (CEU).  The draft decree allowed students enrolled this year to complete their studies, but terminated this degree for future years

Fellow bow hunters, sign the petition to make bow hunt in Greece legal again! Throughout the 5 millennium history of the ancient Greeks until now, bow and arrows have always been linked to the survival of humans. Bring back child care at Fitness First

How many Mum's out there are struggling to get back into shape after having a baby but they have no one to take care of their little one/s so they can't go to the gym? I know for me personally, it's something that I really need to work on since having a baby earlier this year. I've always been incredibly fit and healthy but while I was pregnant I struggled to workout and ate poorly and ended up putting on over 15kg's while pregnant. I know I'm not the only Mum who's experienced this either. When

We, the residents of, visitors and holidaymakers to the Gold Coast, object to the plans to build a concrete path along the foreshore between the Bilinga Surf Lifesaver’s club and the Tugun Surf Life Savers Club carpark at Toolona Street.  We ask the Gold Coast City Council to: 1.     Honour the public consultation which rejected a concrete path, retained the grassed path and recommended cycleway upgrades on Golden Four Drive 2.     Respect beachfront residents’ privacy by keeping this part of th
