Dear Premier, Golf is NOT political and is NOT a covid threat.   That said, many of the people that golf are your biggest supporters and doners. Science does NOT justify you shutting down this sport. Golf is played outdoors and golfers are respectful of the rules and will follow them.  Of the thousands of daily new covid cases daily, please let us know how many of these cases are related to golf and why you would shut down this industry and activity?   We ask you to immediately reinstate this ou

Grant Baby Haven the Care Deserved: Petition California Children Services For Additional Home Health Skilled Nursing Support

As most of you know, Haven was born 100 days early and weighed less than one pound. He has had 14 life threatening surgeries and more procedures than we can count. After spending eight months in the NICU, Haven was able to join his family at home. Even though he was able to go home, he still needed medical care. Medical care that home skilled health nurses had to help with. Now, the state is reducing his skilled home nursing care to nothing. While it may seem like he is a thriving toddler at fir

Petition to lower the speed limit to 60km/h throughout Whitebear

With recent deaths and accidents killing not only my uncle but wildlife as well this petition is to have the speed limit moved to 60 km/h for the entire stretch of highway#9 through Whitebear First Nations Saskatchewan  as most of you well know this stretch of highway is frequented by pedestrian all day long everyday and everyone of them has a story of a close call or witnessing an accident on these roads    my reasoning for this limit is ... by law you are required to drive no faster that 60km/

Letter of Solidarity with Western Sahara

As scholars, researchers, activists and concerned individuals, we, the undersigned, strongly condemn President Donald Trump’s proclamation recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.  Western Sahara is a case of unresolved decolonization.  Decolonization is not only a legal process, but a political struggle, one which has often been waged through the global public sphere. World public opinion, transnational solidarity and global attention have historically been integral to successful d

Ban Single-Use Plastic by 2025

Plastic is a man-made invention that has generated significant benefits for society, and even in some cases, the environment. Unfortunately, the way industry and governments have managed plastics and the way society has converted it into a disposable and single-use commodity transformed this innovation into a disaster. This is a pledge for our planet. Let’s stop plastics choking our oceans – and harming people and nature! We will submit this petition with 1,000 signatures to the United Nations

In Support of Academic Freedom of Expression and Critical Thought

We believe in upholding the democratic values of freedom of speech, thought, and expression. We view Academic freedom of expression in universities as paramount to the process of higher education and empirically-grounded research. The suppression of opposing views stifles critical thought and debate, which are incredibly important parts of a university education and should be promoted and encouraged in both students and staff. We strongly oppose the idea that Academic Freedom should only apply

Health Insurance for exotic animals in Quebec / Canada

Currently, there is no company offering health insurance for exotic animals in Quebec and/or Canada and my veterinarian advised me to put our force together to call companies and put pressure to have this service. Unfortunately, there are many who must euthanize their birds due to lack of money while their birds could be cured and saved. It breaks my heart. I am not in this situation, but it is a cause that is very dear to my heart. Let's make a change together for the love of our birds and exo
