Say "No" to standardized exams and computer-based assessments in our school district for the year.

Sign this petition to support young people in our district by REJECTING district-wide standardized exams and computer-based assessments for this year.   What do our young people need most right now?  If you are an educator who brings social-emotional support to your students in any meaningful way, you must empathize with young people at this time of social-distancing and rising issues for families in urban districts.  Currently, the Vallejo City Unified School District offers lip-service to soci

Petition for Local Land Use Control of Private Property on the Shores of Lake Tulloch

More than 60 years ago the Tulloch Reservoir, also called Lake Tulloch, was created by the South San Joaquin and Oakdale Irrigation Districts. At the time of its creation the irrigation districts obtained flowage easements on a small portion of the property on the lake’s shoreline. Slowly they are shutting everything down, while the state of Texas reopens. The State of Texas has already implemented plans to reopen the state. This includes the opening of theme parks, stadiums, water parks, etc. The City also seems very biased and

Support Airbnb in Mobile, AL

Being an Airbnb host is a work of love. For those of you who have tried it, I'm sure you'll agree you  turned into a Tour Guide, Housekeeper, and City-of-Mobile Ambassador overnight!   It has afforded me time at home with my kids, and my parents to pay their bills after retiring. Many others have lost their jobs during the Pandemic and are using Airbnb to make ends meet.  Mobilians have poured their blood, sweat, tears, and savings into renovating dilapidated homes in the downtown & midtown

Increase rate of 10% for all Medicaid residents who live in adult care foster homes in Oregon!

Dear Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, We, the adult foster care providers have been affected by the COVID-19, too. Recently the state approved a pay increase of 10% for all Medicaid residents  who live in assisted living facilities, residential care facilities and other facilities. One more time we feel discriminated as bussiness and denied the same increase as all other care facilities in Oregon. We provide 24 hour care to the most fragile population and veterans. We are currently following all the prec
