Petition to Allow Wausau West Master Singers to Sing

We the undersigned disagree with the recent Wausau School District decision to create a quota regarding music (Wausau Daily Herald online news—10/4/14: “5 secular songs to every sacred song” used in Wausau school’s music departments and/or concerts). This decision appears to be unreasonable censorship, anti-intellectual, and an unwarranted attack on people of faith. The history of education has always sided against censorship. We want our children to be exposed to the world’s great music—and an

Stop transportation of donkeys from Bonaire to Haiti

The government of Bonaire wants to capture all 200 stray donkeys that roam the island and send them to Haiti to be used as working animals. But because they do not get any financial support from the government they did not succeeded to do so until now. However, I do not agree with the governmental plan to send the captured donkeys to Ha

REMOVAL_OF_RECEIVER

Honorable Gonzalo Curiel:   Please review this petition and grant our request to have the Receiver removed as administrator of my General Partnership investment(s).  These land partnerships were dragged into this without the appropriate Due Process.  Please understand that, with the implementation of a Receiver, our ability to communicate with one another as partners was taken away since the Receiver disallowed the partnership Secretaries to coordinate the communication between the various partn

Stop Testing on Monkeys

I ask that the Regents immediately take action to stop the unethical and scientifically unnecessary use of nonhuman primates in experiments at University of California campuses and laboratories. Animal experimentation fails to hold the promise of new technologies, including nanotechnology, microfluidic methods, stem cell research and personalized medicine; or to yield the comprehensive results of well-established research protocols such as clinical and epidemiological studies.  Ethically, animal

Allow Phi Kappa Sigma's Alpha Zeta Colony to Join UMD IFC

It is our belief that our admission into the IFC will not only be beneficial to us, it will be tremendously beneficial to the community as a whole. We will improve diversity in the Greek Community. Many of our members are Jews from the tri-state area, a demographic that is quite large in the University of Maryland, but scarcely represented in the fraternities recognized by the IFC. In addition, we include individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and locations all over the country and other c

In Support of Borders and Borders Attorneys

The current practices of Harry Borders, John Borders, J David Borders and the entire staff of Borders & Borders located in Louisville, KY, are NOT being questioned by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The CFPB is investigating only the activities of the title companies, and they were closed many years ago.  There is absolutely no reason anyone should be nervous about sending closings to Borders & Borders. These guys are true servant leaders who do much good for the community and t
